My wife was traveling for work this week, and one evening she texted me to see how things were going at home.  I replied with this photo of a bunch of Batman and Robin action figures raiding the liquor supply. :-)

100,000 Page Views

Today, hot on the heels of my 600th blog post, I've reached the100,000 page views milestone.  That's a lot of views of the crap that I put here, and I would like to thank everyone who helped it happen.  I hope that those who read this blog enjoy the stuff that they find here even a fraction as much as I enjoy creating it.  So, to honor 100,000 page views, enjoy this image of a Barbarian riding on sweet skull covered surfboard.

My Grandmother in Zermatt Switzerland 71 years ago

Nothing gaming related here.  My grandmother, who died in 2012, would have been 92 years old today.  This is a picture of her sitting in the snow in Zermatt Switzerland in 1945.  The picture didn't scan very well, but then it is pretty old.  It's funny to me because she hated snow.  I remember her telling me about the Christmas that she and her brothers all got sleds, and she told her parents that she didn't want it because she hated the snow.  I still have the camera that this photo was taken with, but sadly it's impossible to find film for it these days.

600th Post +1

600 posts and counting!

In all of my excitement yesterday around the start of the Mutant Crawl Classics KickStarter campaign, I missed that fact that my post about MCC was my 600th posting to this blog.  Now I know that 600 posts isn't really a very big deal, but I'm still impressed that I reached that number, so I drew this picture to commemorate it.  I'm not really sure what this guy has to do with 600 blog posts, but I felt like drawing a dude in robes with a shield.  :-) This isn't a very focused blog, which mirrors its author quite well.  I started this blog as a place for me to post photos of my painted miniatures, and hit as slowly grown to cover more things like maps, board games, adventure ideas, and occasionally fiction.  Many of the posts are still miniatures related, but it has been fun and interesting to branch out, and I've discovered that while I'm not good at drawing, I really enjoy it.  To everyone who has read along, I would like to extend my sincerest thanks as I look forward to my next 600 posts.
